Pride Month巴黎特别放映《游子跨越日志》 Screening of documentary “ Colored Umbilical Cord”

《游子跨越日志》并不试图用宏大的议题定义一个跨性别者的人生，而是把镜头长久地停留在一个具体的人身上：她如何离开故乡，如何面对身体与自我的裂缝，如何在漫长的家庭拉扯中寻找被理解的可能。当“游子”终于跨越，又有了新的问题：“我成为了我，那么接下来呢？”

很开心可以在Pride Month，放映这部2025年FIRST青年影展最佳纪录片。

影片介绍：

宋家乐从6岁起就有一个愿望——变成女孩子，实现身心统一。14岁从宋庄村出走在外，她做过服务员、卖过卤菜。大城市的纷扰繁忙依然无法掩埋内心的“性别焦虑”问题。

三年来，她多次往返上海和老家，为手术所需的证件做准备，同时想说通家人同意她做手术。但事与愿违，父亲和亲人无法接受她的想法。在不断地心理挣扎中，宋家乐还是坚定的选择了要去做手术。

在医院，宋家结识了不少同为跨儿的朋友，她们相互关照，如梦般的完成了自我蜕变。但出院回到老家后，迎来的是家人的各种谩骂与指责。家人的不解、以后的人生路途，或许成为了她新的焦虑。

导演阐述：

“我和宋家乐相识于22年底，她说想找个人纪录她蝶变的过程，于是就开启了这部纪录日志。主人公家乡的淮河水几经周转汇入长江，再经上海入海，这种曲折连接也和主人公为蝶变之梦有相似之处。我试图抱着“无知”跟随家乐在游离生活之间了解她以及“性别焦虑”的本质。在家乐逐渐靠近理想进入医院后，我见到了更多的跨儿，，在挣扎之后，手术成了她们的救命稻草。但镜头外的更多跨儿，依然深陷泥潭。通过性别重置手术剔除“性别焦虑”问题，“做一名普普通通的女孩”成为了她们愿景。”

导演介绍：

吕仔祥，1993年出生于安徽省濉溪县，本科学习产品设计，毕业后开始从事动态影像行业至今。

Colored umbilical cord does not attempt to define a transgender person’s life through grand themes. Instead, it keeps its lens steadily focused on one individual: how she leaves her hometown, how she confronts the fractures between her body and sense of self, and how she searches for the possibility of being understood amid a long and difficult negotiation with family. When the “wanderer” finally crosses over, a new question emerges: “I have become myself—what comes next?”

About the documentary

Since the age of 6, Song Jiale has harbored a wish: to become a girl and achieve physical and mental unity.

At the age of 14, she left Songzhuang Village, working as a waitress and street vendor selling braised food. Yet the hustle and bustle of big cities couldn’t quiet her gender dysphoria.

For three years, she traveled between Shanghai and her hometown, gathering documents for surgery while pleading with her family for acceptance. However, things did not go as planned, as her father and relatives were unable to accept her idea.

Amidst the constant psychological struggle, Song Jiale resolved to undergo surgery.

At the hospital, Song Jiale met many friends who were also transgender. They cared for each other and underwent a dream-like self-transformation. However, upon returning home after being discharged from the hospital, she was met with insults and accusations from her family. Their misunderstandings and the future path of her life may become her new anxieties.

Born in Suixi County, Anhui Province in 1993, I graduated with a degree in Product Design and have been working in the dynamic image industry ever since.

Director’s Statement:

“I met Song Jiale at the end of 2022. She told me she wanted someone to document her transformation, and that was how this documentary journal began. The waters of the Huai River in the protagonist’s hometown wind through many turns before joining the Yangtze River and eventually reaching the sea through Shanghai. This meandering journey felt, in some ways, similar to the protagonist’s pursuit of transformation. I approached the project with a sense of ‘not knowing,’ following Jiale through the uncertainties and in-between spaces of her life, trying to understand both her and the nature of gender dysphoria. As Jiale gradually moved closer to her ideal self and entered the hospital, I met more trans people. For many of them, after long periods of struggle, surgery became a lifeline. Yet beyond the frame, many others remain trapped in difficult circumstances. For them, removing the burden of gender dysphoria through gender-affirming surgery—and simply becoming an ordinary girl—became their vision for the future.”

Screening Tips

3. On the day of the screening, the venue will be cleared at 7:30 PM for setup. If you arrive early, please wait outside the space.
