去年9月28日，我们放映了赵亮导演的《纸飞机》，和大家一起走进了千禧年前后北京摇滚青年的堕落青春。时隔半年，4月19日，我们将再次聚首，邀请赵亮导演来到空间，共同观看他的纪录片《罪与罚》，进行一场深度交流。

影片介绍：

在中国北方一个小镇的派出所里，跟中国的任何角落一样，警察每天都在代表政府行使着管理人民、维持社会安定的责任。1个没有带营业许可证的收废品的老头在派出所内面对警察经受着尊严的考验。1个经常报假警的精神病人，又一次报警说家里有一个死人。1个不会说话的盗窃嫌疑人，经受了皮肉之苦，始终没有承认偷窃，由于交流障碍和证据不足，只好被警察无罪释放。在调查一起持枪杀人案过程中，警察们偶然抓到三个偷木头的农民，在连夜的刑讯下，农民们供认不讳。因为春节快到了，做父亲的没有钱给孩子买礼物，便挺而走险做了小偷。一年一度的老兵又要退役了。一个既无钱又无关系的老兵没有签上士官，在临行的前夜喝了很多酒，他向一名干部发泄着自己对军队的失望和对社会的不满！人去床空，新兵还会再来，社会还是照常荒诞的继续。

导演介绍：

赵亮，1971年出生于辽宁省，中国内地导演、编剧、摄影师、制作人，先后毕业于鲁迅美术学院、北京电影学院。

1995年，执导个人首部纪录片《告别圆明园》。1996年，赵亮因对上访人的状态感兴趣而开始拍摄了一部纪录片，该片获得夏威夷电影节最佳纪录片奖、香港国际电影节最佳纪录片人道奖。2001年，执导纪录片《纸飞机》，该片获得第3届台湾国际纪录片双年展国际影带竞赛优等奖。2004年，执导纪录片《城市场景》，该片获得德国卡塞尔纪录和录象艺术节金钥匙奖、德国奥本豪森国际短片电影节评审团大奖。2007年，执导纪录片《罪与罚》，该片获得法国南特三大洲国际电影节金气球奖。其后赵亮的关注点转向环境与核问题，拍摄了《悲兮魔兽》《无去来处》等纪录片，斩获数项国际大奖。

About the documentary「Crime and Punishment」

In a police station in a small town in northern China, just like in any other corner of the country, the police carry out their daily duties on behalf of the government—managing the people and maintaining social stability. An old man who collects scrap without a business license faces a test of dignity as he confronts the police. A mentally ill person, known for making false police reports, calls once again to report a dead body in his home. A mute theft suspect endures physical suffering but never confesses. Due to communication barriers and lack of evidence, the police have no choice but to release him without charge. During the investigation of a gun murder case, the police accidentally capture three farmers stealing wood. Under overnight interrogation, the farmers confess. As the Spring Festival approaches, a father, unable to afford gifts for his child, takes the risk of becoming a thief. Another year passes, and it is time for old soldiers to retire once more. One veteran, who has neither money nor connections, fails to secure a sergeant position. On the eve of his departure, he drinks heavily and vents his disappointment with the military and his dissatisfaction with society to an officer. People leave, beds are left empty, new recruits will arrive, and society will continue its absurd course as always.

Director: Zhao Liang

Zhao Liang was born in 1971 in Liaoning Province, China. He is a director, screenwriter, photographer, and producer. He graduated from the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts and the Beijing Film Academy.

In 1995, he directed his first documentary, Farewell to Yuanmingyuan. In 1996, driven by an interest in the plight of petitioners, he began filming a documentary that later won the Best Documentary Award at the Hawaii International Film Festival and the Humanitarian Award for Best Documentary at the Hong Kong International Film Festival. In 2001, he directed the documentary Paper Airplane, which won the Excellence Award in the International Video Competition at the 3rd Taiwan International Documentary Biennale. In 2004, he directed City Scene, which received the Golden Key Award at the Kassel Documentary and Video Festival in Germany and the Jury Prize at the Oberhausen International Short Film Festival. In 2007, he directed Crime and Punishment, which won the Montgolfière d'Or at the Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes, France. Following this, Zhao Liang shifted his focus to environmental and nuclear issues, directing documentaries such as Behemoth and I'M SO SORRY, which earned numerous international awards.
