POETRY圆桌｜王寅：巴黎已经令我心生厌倦

王寅年初在八梨空间的墙上留下了第一句话：“昨夜下着今天的大雨”。此后，我常常会想，一个诗人创造一个世界，一个世界有一种温度，王寅诗句的温度之于我，是巴黎秋天雨后的温度，一种暖色调的清凉。很开心，我们期待已久的王寅“诗歌圆桌”在夏末到来。

如今生活在纽约的诗人王寅，是中国当代诗人的重要代表，他的诗作穿越三十余年的时间，既有都市的光影与呼吸，也有个人的细腻感受与人类的普遍情绪。他不断打破边界，将诗带入美术馆、街头与跨国交流的现场。这一次，他把诗带到巴黎，把语词放在圆桌中央，谈论诗、朗诵诗，以及超越诗歌的个人经验——比如，文字如何在不同文化间重新生长。

在圆桌之前，先借用王寅的诗，“谢谢大家「炎热夏天」仍然爱一个诗人”：

我不是一个可以把诗篇朗诵得

使每一个人掉泪的人

但我能够用我的话

感动我周围的蓝色墙壁

我走上舞台的时候，听众是

黑色的鸟，翅膀就垫在

打开了的红皮笔记本和手帕上

王寅

诗人、作家、摄影师。出版诗集《王寅诗选》《灰光灯》《低温下的美》等，作品发表于《纽约时报杂志》《格兰塔》等刊物，并被翻译成十八种语言，已出版法文诗集三种，英文、西班牙文诗集各两种，波兰文、斯洛文尼亚文诗集各一种。他的英文诗集《和幽灵在一起的夏日》（纽约书评出版社 ，2022）先后四次被《纽约时报》推荐，获得2023年北加州图书奖翻译诗歌奖，并入围2022年美国国家书评人协会翻译奖和2023年卢西安·斯特莱克亚洲翻译奖。他的诗作收入卢浮宫委托一百位世界诗人共同创作的法文版和英文版诗集《卢浮宫的诗》，他的诗歌声音作品同时在卢浮宫展出（2024）。他创建的非营利组织Limelight Poetry与纽约公共图书馆合作推出世界诗歌沙龙系列（2025）。自2012年以来，他在上海民生现代美术馆策划了“诗歌来到美术馆”系列活动，邀请了来自世界各地的80多位知名诗人，该系列是中国持续时间最久的诗歌活动之一。

POETRY Roundtable | Wang Yin: I've Had Enough of Paris

Early this year, Wang Yin left one of his poems on the wall of 8lithèque: “Today's heavy rain poured down last night.” Since then, I’ve often thought — a poet creates a world, and every world has its own temperature. The temperature of Wang Yin’s lines, to me, is that of Paris in autumn after the rain: a warm-toned coolness. I’m delighted that our long-awaited “Poetry Roundtable” with Wang Yin arrives at the close of summer.

Now based in New York, Wang Yin is one of China’s most important contemporary poets. His work spans more than three decades, carrying both the light and breath of cities and the intimate textures of personal feeling alongside shared human emotions. He continually pushes poetry beyond its boundaries, bringing it into museums, onto the streets, and into cross-cultural encounters. This time, he brings poetry to Paris, placing words at the center of the roundtable to talk about poetry, read poetry, and explore experiences that extend beyond it — such as how language can be reborn between different cultures.

About Wang Yin

Wang Yin is a poet, writer, and photographer. He has published several poetry collections, including Selected Poems of Wang Yin, Limelight, and The Beauty of Frozen Days. Among his numerous awards are the Jiangnan Poetry Award and the Dong Dangzi Poetry Award. His poetry has been translated into eighteen languages, and English translations of his work have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, and Granta.

In 2022, The New York Review Books published his poetry collection A Summer Day in the Company of Ghosts, which received four recommendations from The New York Times. The collection won the 2023 Northern California Book Award for Poetry in Translation and was longlisted for the 2022 National Book Critics Circle Award for Translation and shortlisted for the 2023 Lucien Stryk Asian Translation Prize.

Invited by the Louvre, Wang’s poetry was included in the French and English editions of Poems of the Louvre, and his poetry audio works have been exhibited at the museum.

He founded the nonprofit Limelight Poetry, which collaborated with the New York Public Library to launch the World Poetry Salon series (2025).

Since 2012, he has curated the "Poetry Comes to the Museum" series, hosting over 80 prominent poets from around the world at the Shanghai Minsheng Art Museum. This series, the longest-running poetry event in China, won the Oriental Morning Post's 2013 "Cultural China Annual Event Grand Prize.
