晚年的赵已然被病痛折磨，离群索居，甚少见人。《告别1988》记录了他2017年到2020年在京郊农村的生活点点滴滴，观众得以一窥舞台之下的赵老大，他的病痛、他的坚守与拒绝，他的思考以及遗憾。

80后，山西霍州人。《狱望》主编。2016年剪辑完成诗人游走题材纪录片处女作《我的希望在路上》，入选第13届北京独立影像展展映单元。2024年最新纪录片作品《寻找鲜娅》。

On September 30, 2021, musician Zhao Yiran passed away, marking the end of his legendary life. He lived passionately, loved deeply, and brought music and joy to many.

In his later years, Zhao Yiran was tormented by illness, leading him to live in isolation and rarely meet others. Farewell 1988 chronicles his life in a rural area on the outskirts of Beijing from 2017 to 2020, offering audiences a glimpse of Zhao beyond the stage—his struggles with illness, his resilience and defiance, his reflections, and his regrets.

Director: WANG Shenghua

Born in the 1980s, from Huozhou, Shanxi. Editor-in-chief of Prison Watch（《狱望》）. In 2016, Wang completed editing his debut documentary My Hope Is on the Road, which focuses on wandering poets and was selected for the screening section of the 13th Beijing Independent Film Festival. His latest documentary, Searching for Xianya, was released in 2024.
