Tom Soloveitzik came to Beijing last March, and in addition to the concerts, we also had a day to record an album that has just been released on the Tokyo-based experimental music label Ftarri. He was on tenor saxophone, and I was using the mixing board's own noise floor and the murmur of people touching the audio cables. We didn't communicate much and found a symmetry in our playing, which we later realized there were three angles.
Now Tom has moved to Paris and there are friends of his who will also play: the trio by Félicie Bazelaire / Pierre-Antoine Badaroux / Daichi Yoshikawa, I'm sure it's not their first time playing together.
I think a lot of the responses to improvised music is postponed. Before the concert, no musician, audience, venue would know what's going to happen, and the collaborating musicians probably won't communicate with each other either. It's the shape, the smell, the sound, the presence of people, all at the same time make up a temporary reality. It all happens in time, and all of us meet each other in our own time. And disappears in time as well.

Sun Yizhou, Plays one or more mis-operated appliances in real-time out of contradiction and uncertainty, in a state of irregularity or homogeneneity. Has been performing and recording with different musicians in different places from 2019 to the present. Founded the micro-label 'Aloe Records' in 2022. Organizing small experimental music gigs in Beijing called 'Aloe On-site' since 2023 on a continuous basis.
Tom Soloveitzik is an Israeli musician and artist based in Paris. He works with the materiality of sound, the practice of listening, and the potentiality of recording [a ‘field’] through performance and writing.

Félicie Bazelaire est une artiste musicienne qui vit et travaille Paris. Parallèlement à des études en violoncelle et contrebasse classiques, elle s'intéresse aux formes artistiques ouvertes et expérimentales, à l’improvisation et aux écritures musicales singulières. Sa pratique s’étend de la performance à l’écriture poétique.

Pierre-Antoine Badaroux, saxophoniste, compositeur, producteur et enseignant, est un membre actif des musiques contemporaines européennes. Son travail s'axe autour d'une exploration des rapports entre les formes d'écriture, de composition, de prédéfini, d'indéfini et d'improvisé. Que ce soit à travers une démarche "d'interprète" à la tête de l'ensemble Hodos, de compositeur avec son sextet, d'improvisateur en solo, d'archiviste en tant que producteur et membre du label Umlaut Records, d'enseignant au conservatoire de Lille, de déconstruction du be-bop avec le quartet Peeping Tom, ou de reconstitution méticuleuse de la musique de danse des années 1930 avec le Umlaut Big Band, ces préoccupations sont fortement ancrées dans ses multiples productions.
Daichi Yoshikawa, based in Paris, plays with microphones and feedback with objects. He plays in the trio lll人 with Seymour Wright (saxophone) and Paul Abbott (drums).

现在 Tom 搬到了巴黎，还有他的朋友们也会演出：Félicie Bazelaire / Pierre-Antoine Badaroux / Daichi Yoshikawa 的三重奏，我想他们一定不是第一次这样组合。
我想，很多即兴音乐的反应都是置后的。现场之前，乐手、观众、场地不知道会发生什么，合作的乐手可能也不相互沟通。它的形状、气味、声音、人的存在，同时组成了一个临时的现实。这些都发生在时间里，我们都在自己的时间里与对方相遇。也消失在时间中。
