On May 12, oo-khiat and Rong will perform live at 8lithèque in Paris, followed by an open conversation about their craft.
oo-khiat is among the earliest practitioners of Eurorack module design and development in China. Built around custom-made synthesizer hardware paired with acoustic instruments, his performances unfold as ever-growing sound landscapes where folk music, electronic ambience, noise, poetry, and free improvisation intertwine.
After the performance, oo-khiat will share insights into module design, sound, synthesizers, and live composition.

The Artists
oo-khiat Synthesizer designer, music producer, and multi-instrumentalist, with a background in craft and media arts. oo-khiat regularly composes sound for film, theater, and exhibition spaces, maintains ongoing exchanges with musicians and performers across disciplines, and has organized a number of intimate performances and workshops.
Rong Works on film scoring, exhibition ambient music, and sound creation for art projects, while also contributing to film and television sound production. With a background in classical music and orchestral performance, he has a longstanding collaboration with the Beijing Film Academy. He also works in game sound design and has previously collaborated with a team based in Uppsala, Sweden.

5月12日，乌戛和Rong将于巴黎8lithèque带来一场现场演出，并与大家展开一次开放的技术交流。
乌戛是中国最早一批 Eurorack模块制作与研发的实践者之一。其演出以特制合成器硬件为核心，与原声乐器共同构成不断生长的声音现场。民族音乐、电子氛围、噪音、诗歌与自由即兴在其中交错展开。
演出之后乌戛也将进行关于模块设计，声音、合成器与现场创作的交流。

音乐人
乌戛 oo-khiat
是合成器设计师、⾳乐制作⼈和多乐器演奏者。曾从事⼿⼯艺与媒体艺术的创作与研究。乌戛常年为电影、戏剧与展览等空间创作声⾳，⻓期与各领域⾳乐⼈、演奏家保持交流，组织过⼀些⼩型演出和⼯作坊。
Rong
从事电影配乐、展览氛围音乐及艺术项目的声音创作，并参与影视录音制作。他拥有古典音乐背景和管弦乐演奏经验，长期与北京电影学院合作，同时涉足游戏声音设计，并曾与瑞典乌普萨拉的团队合作。
